Making Love in the Kitchen
By George Snyder
1st Breakfast in Bed
Mom & Dad
At the young age of 6 years old, living on the Coker Ranch, I rose out of my bedroom early in the morning to find myself in the Kitchen...
The night before I got in trouble, because as a young Kid I refused to eat chocolate ice cream. I wined and cried until my father gave in and ended up making me a bowl of Vanilla Ice Cream. Well as the night moved along I got caught in the kitchen eating out of the tub of chocolate ICE CREAM. My father was yelling at me that I did like the Chocolate even know I said I did not as the melted ice cream was allover my face and shirt.
After my mother and father cleaned me up and putting me back to bed. I awoke early that next day!
.... To find myself cooking breakfast for my parents. I cooked scramble eggs mixed with shells, cut up hotdogs with an orange, and ketchup.
Parents were kind enough to pick through the shell's and surprised I did such a thing at my age.

Cooking Addiction
In the Beginning
What is it that fuels each and every one of us in this world? For me there are many things in life and one of them is Making Love in the Kitchen. Since I was a kid, Cooking has been a hobby of mine. I have through out the years been designing, practicing, and performing a dish for family, friends, and even stranger's. And so the adventure begins...
Eggs and Hot Dogs
4 whole brown eggs
Break over pan

Not Sure how I Won the Chili Cook Off but there was a 30 Rack of Budweiser involved.

Chili
Chili Cook Off
Starting around 6am crack open a can of Bud and begin your prep work for the Chili. As my father tells the story.
4 green Bell Peppers
4 red Bell Peppers
4 Jalapeno Peppers
4 Cayenne Peppers
6 Habanero Pepers
Pop open a second can a Bud and begin to clean all the seeds out of the peppers.
Its important to remove all the seeds of the peppers before dicing them for the chili. This makes the dish have full taste and authentic.
1 bag of chili powder
8 Tomatos diced
1 whole red onion diced
10 cups of water
6 cans of beer.
Slow simmer for hours feeding a half a can a beer every hour.
4 pounds of ground beef after hour 1
6 hours serve
In the midst of his day he doesn't recall how much beer was added but the 30 rack was gone by the time he won the award. I have taken this recipe and came in second place at two events. White chili is the faze now days.

Mom
Pork Chops
My mother stems from the south. She has a unique love and passion for southern foods to the sweets. Growing up as a child I was introduced to fried chicken, masher's, and southern style treats and asian food.
Growing up we were a poor family that never went out on the town so we found coking in the house hold to keep us close through the years until I was 14 when my parents separated. Moms favorite dish that I loved as a kid was her Pork Chops

Grandma Love
Expressing love through Food
Where to begin. As far as my memories goes there is not a day I can not think of when Grandma wasn't in the Kitchen. Even today at 90 she still cooks 3 meals a day.Â
So many memories of peeling potatoes, prepping food, cutting ingredients and more. Us grandchildren loved going to grandmas. I even recall the day grandma was cooking spare ribs in the oven in a glass pan and cold water fell onto the glass and shattered over the ribs. Us kids for so sad for the lost we cried.Â
But the one dish that stands against time is her Spaghetti that was passed down from one of her friends back in the late 1950's...

Breaking Up In the Kitchen
As time goes on, from your first time in a relationship, things a can go south from a lost love to a broken heart. We as humans will fill that void with self immolation in the consumption of sweet Foods.

For myself as my heart was breaking I turned my love in the kitchen into a place of designing bake goods that helped the quick satisfaction of feeling happy vrs sad. I found pies, ice cream dishes, cakes, cookies, and foreign desserts to help fill the void that was deep in my heart. As I cooked away I learned real fast it takes two to make things work and it takes two to end a relationship.
To talk out your feelings and to pursue one another is a never ending conquest and if two people begin to fill their needs with other sources and not willing to communicate than things can south real fast.
I look at a relationship in the mix batter's and its a technique for your mixes to truly fix together to have an healthy taste of a relationship.

Breaking Up in The Kitchen

To feel is to grow!!!
41 years of making love in the kitchen also has brought myself to some hard times in relationships, friendships, hardship in life, and heart breaking moments. In these times of heartaches, like a musician, I find myself in the kitchen designing food through feelings.

Every Night the moon caches my messages and whispers my messages to those I care about.

A Solders Treat
Ever feeling sad or alone. Just take a moment and send a message to moon and stars and I promises somone will smile from a far hearing the faint messages through space and time.
A simple pass time My father and I used during the time I was in a foreign war. No Phones, Just paper and pins and a message to the moon.
One of my copes was to make and design meals out of MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) To recreate all you need is a Lemon Pound cake, 1 Package of dry creamer powder, 1 packet of sugar, 1 table spoon of water and a flame to heat up your metal cup.
put the water in the bottlom of the cup, put the strawberry, powder, and sugar and mix in the cup. Take your lemon pound cake and put on top of the mis in the cup. Heat for 3 minutes or until you hear that sizzle.
One spoon and enjoy a Solders treat.

Shepherds Pie
This year i felt as if my heart has been buried by layers. And a shepherds pie is a dish that is layered with 1 pound of ground lamb, 6 whole carrots diced with a sharp paring knife, 6 whole stock of celery, half of a red onion diced, two table spoons of diced garlic, teaspoon of sea salt, teaspoon of pepper, two pie crust, and one medium pot of fresh red potatoes cooked to mash.
As preparing its important to have some Irish or Scottish music playing in the back ground to let your soul create the dish. Let your feelings be mixed as you you stir the meat, seasonings, and vegetables in a good cast iron frying pan. Let your potatoes boil for 30 plus minutes as you drink a shot of whiskey and a dark Irish beer. Once potatoes are boiled rinse and begin mashing your red potatoes mixed with a half 6 table spoons of butter, little olive oil and a table spoon of salt. As your mashing use your feelings of sadness to exert the bad energy out as you are making something tasty.
One more shot of whiskey, Crack another dark Irish beer, and begin taking your mixed feelings of ground lamb and vegetables and fill the pie crust. Than take your Mashed up energy and spread over the pies.
Put in oven for 35 to 45 minutes until the pie crus is golden brown. Crack a beer as you pull out the pies and let sit for another 25 minutes.

Exasperated Enchaldas
One of my favorite dishes stems from being livid in a uncontrollable situation in my life. I was mad at myself not being able to win the fight of uncontrollable desire in myself. I was unwilling to change and meet in the middle sometime ago with one of the most beautiful souls of people out there. Coming home I got in my kitchen and pulled out a whole chicken and begun to make Enchiladas.
I gutted the chicken and filled it one whole peeled garlic clover. Took the chicken and in put in the big pot I own with a strainer built into it and boiled the chicken. I added 2 table spoons of Chula sauce to the water and three tea spoons of sea salt. Boiled the chicken until the the meet fell off the bones. (hour to 1.5)
Breaking out a bottle of tequila for a shot, And some Island country songs in the back ground.
I pull the chicken and move it to a cutting board.
My anger was feeling spicy that fine evening so;
On another cutting board I have 4 jalapeños, 2 habaneros, 1/4 white onion, 1 tea spoon garlic and one yellow & red bell pepper all diced.
Take the lovely diced peppers and garlic and sauté in a frying pan for 5 minutes with two table spoons of sriracha.
Begin to pull the chicken off the bones and put in the pan with the diced peppers. About half the chicken will be used.
Take a shot of Tequila
